Account Manager Benelux (m/f/d)

Location: Mönchengladbach

The Account Manager role requires the individual to act as main liaison between the Company and the Company’s’ Customers, both existing and new. He/She manages a predefined customer portfolio starting with smaller customers in terms of NSR. The Account Manager (m/f/d) is also responsible for gathering relevant market place data which the Company may use to develop appropriate new products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations/ tenders and offers for defined customers
  • Negotiate prices, discounts and supply agreements with defined customers along company-customer strategy in agreement with KAM or Sales Director
  • Work on daily customer correspondence for all areas
  • Review constantly cost optimizing potential on customer account level (product, blends, logistics)
  • Providing support to the customers on a daily basis
  • Acquire new customers along company-customer strategy
  • Investigate and observe permanently markets (customers, competitors, products, trends), elaborate reports and analysis
  • Define product portfolio on customer level
  • Ensure customer agreements are set up and fulfilled externally and internally and react accordingly of mismatches are identified
  • Develop customer / product mid and long term strategy by using CAM methods and in collaboration with respective manager
  • Manage Sales Forecasting and BP for defined customers in agreement with local head of sales department
  • Work closely together with local Marketing department in terms of correct product development
  • Internal and external coordination and implementation of customer / product promotion
  • Take part at customer trade fairs


Requirements
  • University Degree – Preferably Business related or other related education degrees
  • First experience in the area of FMCG sales and / or marketing role, preferably within the private label section
  • Identification with the products and the non-food household category
  • Good MS-Office skills
  • Very good English language skills and preferable also Dutch skills
  • Analytic skills and a hands-on mentality are of utmost importance of the success in the company
  • Reliability, social competence, flexibility and resilience are essential
  • Good negotiator with an emphasis on wins / wins outcomes
  • An effective communicator at all levels in both verbal and written format
  • Good understanding of plastics, materials and manufacturing processes is advantageous
